TOBI X DOT Part 1

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone's summer is going great and enjoying the warm weather and sun. In Virginia it rained like crazy for a whole month! So I was still wearing a lot of my winter clothing but finally the weather has gotten a lot warmer so I was able to switch out my fall/winter wardrobe and brought out my summer clothing.

One of my favorite online retailers 'Tobi' was kind enough to send me three summery pieces so here is part one of my collab with them. They sent me this stunning paisley print jumpsuit with flared bottoms. Not only do I love the print and the colors but the quality and how comfortable this outfit is for a hot summery day. I decided to pair it with a lace kimono, some lace up wedges and a cute little bucket bag, hope you guys like how I styled it!

P.S. First item you buy from www.tobi.com is 50% off!

Leave me suggestions of other ways you guys would style this jumpsuit!

Xo,
Anam.

Everyday Make Up Look

Hello everyone!

I'm back! I didn't realize it but since the past few months have been super busy with school and a new job I unknowingly ended up taking a short hiatus from social media. I was barely posting on the blog, my instagram, snapchat etc. Since this semester is finally over and although I am taking summer classes it's still less of a load compared to the spring so I can spend some more time shooting and writing posts! I've missed blogging so much and at this point I realize I've just been rambling so let's move on to the post.

On an everyday basis when I go to school and work, I don't usually wear a full face of make up but just like to look put together, let's be honest the world does not need to see my horrendous dark circles.

Starting with prep I always like to put on an under eye cream, serum and moisturizer at least 10 minutes before I apply my make up in the morning. Lately I've been trying out the Clinique pep start under eye cream and my all time favorite Origins Ginzing moisturizer. As I've mentioned in previous posts I have combination skin so in order to keep my make up intact all day I apply primer on my t-zone area, I've been loving the 'Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot primer' to help my make up last all day.

On a daily basis I prefer something with light coverage just to even out my skin and cover up any redness and to achieve that I use the 'It Cosmetics CC cream'. This is my all time favorite CC cream, it feels so hydrating when you apply, leaves the skin looking fresh and dewy and the best part it has SPF 50 so don't have to add an extra step to apply sunscreen. I just apply a light layer all over my face and neck and then use the 'Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer', under my eyes and on any blemishes using a beauty blender. I set my T-zone using 'Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot powder' and under eye area with the 'Nyx banana powder' to brighten it up. I always have to use blush, for me personally I feel like it lifts my cheeks and brightens up my complexion. The Tarte amazonian clay blushes are perfect for a long day, they have an amazing formula and actually last all day, currently I've been using the shade exposed a lot.

On to the eyes my eyebrows are pretty thick naturally so I don't really need to fill them in too much, but I just use the 'Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown' to just fill in some sparse areas and even out my brows. My favorite part of my daily make up routine is mascara, makes such a difference in making you look more awake, I've been obsessed with a new drugstore mascara I discovered. It's called 'Voluminous Butterfly sculpt by Loreal', I find it gives everything I want in a mascara: length, holds a curl and lots of volume. One of my secrets to making your eyes look bigger and more awake is using a nude eye liner in my waterline and the 'Kiko' one in butter is amazing and long lasting. Another trick I like to use occasionally is put a highlight in my inner corner and I've been using just a dab of the 'Kiko water eye shadow' in 200 for that step.

Finally the last and my favorite step applying the lipstick, I go for a very natural my lips but better shade and lately my go to has been 'Maybelline in Clay Crush'. It's the most comfortable matte formula I've ever tried, definitely something you need to try if you're a lipstick junkie like me.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know what other beauty posts you would like to see on here!

Anam.

New BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the warmer weather out there. With every new season there's always so many new beauty releases and one of my favorites for Spring 2016 are the new BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks. Thanks to Influenster I got to try three of the shades from the range and it's safe to say I absolutely love the formula and colors, perfect for spring!

I've always loved the unique concept behind BITE beauty and the food grade ingredients they use in their products. I can't count the amount of times I've bit my lips or accidentally swallowed the lip products I had on but when wearing BITE beauty you don't have to worry about their gluten free products harming your body. This new formula is very hydrating but at the same time long wearing and gives a satin finish.

Top to Bottom: Pepper, Gazpacho & Beetroot

Pepper is one of those pretty mauvey shades that I have been using for my everyday make up look.

Beetroot is a stunning berry shade, perfect for spring, I've been using it on days when I want something bold.

Gazpacho is a stunning true blue red and perfect for an evening look paired with a LBD.

These lipsticks have a sleek matte gray packaging and a delicious citrus infused scent. I'm excited to try out more shades in the range, I've been eyeing Molasses, Chai and Verbena, can't wait to extend my collection! Hope you guys enjoyed my review and let me know what shades you end up getting.

Anam.

High Necks

Hello everyone!

Hope your new year is going great! Stay warm and wrapped up indoors East Coast. This storm is crazy, where I live we've had three feet of snow! It's been so cold so it's getting harder to shoot outfits outdoors but I've been thinking about doing some make up and easy recipe posts if you guys are interested, let me know or leave me suggestions on what you would like to see next on the blog!

This winter I've been obsessed with turtle necks, mock necks, cowl necks, any top with a high neck detail, I am drawn to it.They're so easy to wear, keep you warm, and just make your whole look very put together.

I had bought this waist coat cover up from Forever 21 at the end of summer but since the color is beige/pink not a lot of things looked great underneath it unless it was monotone and I felt like all black or all white looked too basic. When I found this cowl neck sweater/tunic in H&M in the black Friday sale I immediately bought it, I loved it's fit (size down if you're planning on buying it, it's very loose fitting) and how it could be worn causally or formally. The oatmeal color was very unique, I don't own anything in this color in closet. Once I paired the cover up with this top, I loved the look, paired with some high heeled booties and it brought the whole outfit together.

NYE Make Up Look

Hello everyone!

Hope this year has been amazing for you and your upcoming year is even better, it's so hard to believe 2015 is almost over!

I've done this look for one of my blog posts and thought this would be a perfect look for New Year's Eve, it's very cool toned and a really easy smoky eye.

I have combination skin so I always use primer in my T-zone when I want my make up to last all day and the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector is perfect for that, half way through the day and my face still stays oil free and make up stays in place. Regardless of my combination skin I still love having the strobed and dewy look, so always on the hunt for a good dewy foundation and I love the Loreal Lumi foundation (my shade is n1-2) to achieve that. I have major dark circles so I always use my MAC Studio Conceal and Correct in mid peach under my eyes before applying the UD Naked serum concealer (light neutral) on top. I buff in all of the skin products using my beauty blender, I have stopped using brushes for my skin, I love the seamless finish I get with the beauty blender. To keep my skin looking dewy I just apply powder on my under eyes and my t-zone to lock in the foundation and concealer.
I barely ever contour my face but go heavy with the blush and highlight, for blush I love Tarte, it stays on all day and the color is a very pretty neutral pink that goes with every look. On to highlight, I love layering a powder highlight on top of a cream highlight so I love doing that on days when I really want my highlight to pop. I use the liquid version of Becca Opal on the high points of my face and then apply the powder version. I love the strobed look this highlight gives to my make up look.

I already have thick eyebrows but to fill in some of the sparse areas I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in dark brown. On to the eyes, for all the eye shadows I used the Naked Smoky Palette, I love this palette and the packaging is sleek and pretty. In order for the eye make up to stay on all night especially such a dramatic look I use my too faced shadow insurance, apply it all over the lid and then took the 'combust' shadow applied it over the primer to lock it in. I then go in with the shade 'whiskey' and 'password' in my crease and used 'combust' as a transition shade to help them blend more seamlessly. Then to make the shadow pop more I applied the L'oreal silkissime black eyeliner all over my lid, it's a very creamy eye pencil so it's perfect as a base and then applied the shade 'Armor' all over the lid. I then went in with the shade smolder in my outer V to create more dimension to the eye look. I used the shade password on my lower lash line and then smolder in the outer edge to give a more smoky effect. I used Becca Opal to highlight my brow bone and my inner corner. I also use the L'oreal silkissime liner to tight-line my upper lash line and apply the Kiko nude liner in my water line, both these steps make your eyes look bigger and defined. I definitely wanted to go all out with this look and wanted to do lots of mascara and a winged liner. I used my favorite Kat Von D Trooper liquid liner to create the wing, I love this liner it makes it so easy to create a wing and stays on all day long. I got the chance to try the new Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Masacara and I love it! If you like very voluminous lashes, then this is definitely a winner. Although, it can get clumpy if you use too much so use it sparingly. Personally I love that full lash effect so I didn't mind and applied it to my lashes after curling them.

For the lips I have two options, I originally wore a neutral lip gloss from Julep in the shade 'Charming' but then since the look is so cool toned I thought 'Lolita' from Kat Von D would look perfect with it, I have pictures with both lip options on below. To finish everything I always dose my face in Urban Decay All Nighter spray.

Hope you guys liked this make up look and get some inspiration for NYE or any event coming up and have a great and safe New Year's Eve and Happy New Year! Thank you for always checking out my posts and all the sweet comments on Instagram.

Let me know what your New Year resolutions are for the upcoming year in the comments.

XO,
Anam.
