Braving the elements

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all doing great and surviving this super cold winter. Can I just be a bear and hibernate all winter?! Wake me up when it's spring please! Since it's been so cold, it's been so hard to try to take pics but last weekend I decided to get out of hibernation and visit Georgetown, which is my favorite spot in DC. It's a super cute little shopping area with a lot of eating spots and my favorite dessert spots Georgetown cupcakes and Olivia Macaron.

Since last winter I've been on a hunt to find a cute pea coat with a hoodie attached to it, since it rains a lot here and I always have a million things I carry around with me and adding an umbrella on top of that can be such a struggle. Last month I spotted a super cute one at Aeropostale which was part of their Bethany Mota collection, I tried it on and it was perfect, on top of that it had gold details and a cute bow on the back and I was sold! But when I checked the price tag it was $79! I refused to pay that much for a pea coat from Aeropostale because I knew I could definitely get a better quality one for the same price. I continued looking online and in stores but still hadn't found one. Until just two weeks ago I decided to check it again and now it was half off and on top of that I had a $10 off coupon! So basically I only ended up spending $30, I was so glad I had waited and got the deal.

How cute are these little spots! I thought they looked like something out of a Fairy tale :)
I decided to keep my outfit really simple and all black with a pop of color through my bag and scarf. Which are both recent purchases as well, both were great bargains! The winter sales going on right now are so good, definitely check them out if you're on the hunt for winter purchases. I bought my scarf from Express for $7! It's super soft and warm and of course in my favorite color pink! The bag I bought from Aldo, I love Aldo for the great quality and looks of their products but at the same time are at an affordable price. I absolutely love this bag, it's a metallic brown color with gold hardware, which I thought looked great with the gold buttons on my coat.

Hope you guys liked my casual post about my love for Georgetown and my new pea coat!

Let me know what cute spots that you love spending time at!

XOXO,
Anam.
