Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.

Hello everyone!

Hopefully all of you have been enjoying the warmer weather and the beautiful flowers that have been blooming finally, I absolutely love this time of the year, it's such a treat when you step outside.

As you may have guessed by this blog post's title this outfit consists something floral specifically based it around a floral skirt, also bonus points if you know what movie I'm quoting. I was just shopping in the mall one day and saw a 70% sale outside of GAP and thought to check it out. Usually I never go to a GAP when I'm shopping but I thought I'll check it out they might have some basics that I could pick up on sale. One of the racks had this floral skirt and I was immediately drawn towards because of the color and print. I tried it on and absolutely loved the print but specifically how it fit, this skirt has a sort of 'corset' fitted top part and then flows out towards the bottom which is so great because makes your waist look small but is still flowy. I loved the fit so much I bought one in black too! The best part it was marked down from $65 to $20, it was such a great deal, I was glad I had decided to venture in there.

I styled the skirt with basically all black and kept it simple because I wanted the skirt to be the statement piece. I just wore a basic top and tights I had from H&M, a cross body black bag with gold hardware and lace up flats. I've been actually obsessed with these flats I bought from new look recently, they are super cute and comfortable. I went to DC over the weekend and wore these flats all day and we did a lot of walking and they were extremely comfortable. I also added in some geometric sunglasses I bought recently in a thrift store in Richmond, I've been really loving weird, cool shaped sunglasses lately. Anyway I'll stop rambling, hope you guys like the outfit!

Hope you guys liked the blog post and are enjoying the amazing weather! Let me know how you would style this skirt.
