Boho Skirt Love + Rebecca Minkoff Giveaway!

Hello everyone!

Hope you all are enjoying the warmer temperatures and like me have been getting your wardrobe ready for the summer. Since last summer I have been on the hunt for a printed, good fitting, lightweight, maxi skirt that was all covered without random see through areas or slits. But it's always such a struggle to find what you are looking for when you actually go out hunting for something. Finally after a whole year I found exactly what I wanted randomly while I was browsing on (if you don't know it's a website run by Nordstrom that has daily flash sales). As soon as I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it, this outfit is definitely something that I would've worn if I had gone to Coachella (maybe next year :P) because of the boho vibes of the outfit with the skirt and necklace. The skirt is super lightweight, flows beautifully, I love the print and fits perfectly.

I love this necklace I bought on a whim while I was in forever 21 one day, I have worn it multiple times with different outfits and it's perfect to spruce any top or dress. Forever 21 has a huge collection of similar pieces (linked one below) and if you're looking for this particular one, I didn't find it online but I did see the same one is still in stores. I added in these super cute House of Harlow earrings I had gotten in my rocksbox this month (you can use the code anamxoxo to get a free month).

For memorial day weekend, my friend and I were going to National Harbor anyway and I thought that would be the perfect location to shoot this outfit, it's such a cute area with lots of little fun things to do and would definitely recommend going on the Ferris wheel, we went on at sunset time and the view was gorgeous!

P.S. Keep reading for a sneaky giveaway at the end :D

Favorite Lip Products for Spring/Summer

Hello everyone!

Sorry about MIA from the blog for a while, just have been super busy with finals, but they are finally over!

I decided to throwback to my first blog post and do a favorite lip products blog post again but Spring/Summer edition! So brace yourselves for a lot of pinks and oranges (they're all different, I swear!).

The first product I love is the Dior Addict Fluid Stick in the shade 689-Vertigo, this color and formula is definitely addicting (any Arrow fans out there will get the reference lol). I get my love for Dior from my mom, ever since I can remember she's been a huge fan of Dior make up and fragrances, I remember slyly trying to use her products when I was younger but she would always catch me. I absolutely love the formula of this liquid lipstick, it's a very pigmented, build able product with a gel texture and glossy finish, which is why I love it so much. It's not the traditional sticky lip gloss texture which I avoid, can't stand that on my lips. You can put on a thin layer for a flush of color or build it up to a bright pink, it's definitely not as long wearing as a matte lipstick would be but I love the pink stain it leaves on your lips after wearing it for a while. So if you're like me and don't like sticky products, you will love this product, it is a splurge at $35 however, I've been using it since last summer and I still haven't finished it up.

Sticking to a gel texture but at the lower end of the price range is the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights. These also have a gel and glossy finish but are even more comfortable to wear compared to the Dior Fluid Stick. These were launched last summer and I loved the formula so much I bought almost the entire shade range but my favorite is Barcelona nights. These are very similar to the YSL glossy stains but at a fraction of the price. If I need a lip color for day to night I definitely grab this one, if I put on a thin layer it's just a hint of color but with two layers you get such a beautiful bright pink.

As I mentioned earlier I stay away from lip glosses especially the stick ones, but if I had to buy any I would always get the Sephora lip glosses, not sticky at all, feels very balmy and hydrating on the lips, the colors are gorgeous and they smell so sweet and good! This shade may look super scary and bright in the tube but when applied to the lips it's not super pigmented at all and has such a unique color. I always grab this gloss when I'm going for a fresh and dewy make up look.

I have found a new hidden gem at the drugstore and that is the brand Essence specifically their lip products. They are so creamy, long wearing, pigmented and high quality products and are only $2.99! I am in love with the shade 04-On the Catwalk, it's such a beautiful raspberry color, I don't own anything like it in my collection, every time I wear it I get compliments on it.

Orange is one of those colors that is completely out of my comfort zone, if I want to make a statement, I usually go for the classic red, bright pinks or vampy colors but the closest I had gotten to an Orange was Coral. This year however, I discovered my new favorite orange lipstick which is the new Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in the shade Poppy. These are super creamy and balmy and smell amazing, they have a very strong fruity scent. They have a glossy formula but are extremely long wearing and don't slip around or bleed.

Lastly, I have my all time favorite summer lipstick, which is Crosswires by MAC! This is such a pretty coral color and it's from their Cremesheen range of lipsticks. This is the only MAC lipstick that I've actually gone through the whole tube and then repurchased it again. Every time I wear everyone wants to know what shade it is and I've enabled a lot of my friends to purchase it, so definitely check out this shade next time you're at a MAC counter.

Crosswires, Poppy, On the Catwalk, Pin Up Pink, Barcelona Nights, Vertigo (left to right)

I hope you guys enjoyed this beauty post, let me know in the comments what are your favorite lip products for Spring/Summer!
